Getting to Cha-Am

  • Car:The most direct driving route from Bangkok to Cha Am is to follow Highway 35 south to Highway No. 4.

  • Taxi: From Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi International Airport you can take a taxi: the trip should take about 2 and a half hours and costs between 2000 - 2500 Baht on the meter. If you require a taxi from Suvarnabhumi: there is an official taxi stand just outside the arrivals doors on the road.
  • Bus:The alternative is to catch the VIP Bus from Suvarnabhumi.  Roong Ruenang Coach Co. Ltd. provide services down to Cha Am & Hua Hin. Their service costs 305 baht/person and the departure times from the airport are: 07:30, 09:30, 11:30, 13:30, 16:30 and 19:30. Their counter service is at Level 1 Gate 8 at the airport. It is important that you notify the driver that you will get off in Cha-am.  There will only be a short stop along the highway at the intersection leading down to the beach. You will arrive  at Cha-am about ½ hour before scheduled arrival in  Hua Hin. Seats can be booked on line and that is advisable as the service books up quickly.
